LAFC Ford Collaboration Storyboard Pitch
I was brought into RMD Group Inc. as a freelance storyboard artist to lay out a storyboard for the head owner of the company who wanted to propose his idea to clients including Ford. My role was to converse with the owner to form a visual narrative and complete a storyboard for a 30 to 40 seconds live-action commercial for Ford and their collaborating partner LAFC.
No writing existed before the meeting with the owner so I brainstormed the idea with the owner to bullet point key themes and constructed a script.
The storyboard request was a one-man job and I was responsible to complete the boards within 8 hours from start to finish including the script and camera framing.
The narrative direction we took was "together as one," celebrating the community of Los Angeles Football Club community and Ford vehicles supporting their football culture.
My responsibilities include:
- Brainstorming and scripting the boards with the owner and manager.
- Thumbnail the script to have the owner approve the direction of the project.
- Draw out the boards and flush them out for delivery to the owner by the end of the day.
Bronco "Webpage" .com Sizzle Reel Pitch
I was brought in to work with RMD Group as full time to start working on a project for the Bronco.com community Sizzle Reel. My role was boards for an sizzle reel idea, estimated run time 2 min 45 seconds, for a future bronco community .com website. The owner requested to work this storyboard around the theme of community interviews and what this website could potentially mean to the community. The script was written from scratch during the meeting with the owner pitching the idea and selecting key themes that felt important to represent on this reel. Boards were in the early stage and in progress to be flushed out for live-action filming, but due to COVID-19, this project has been postponed.
